We had a fantastic dining experience at The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe. The menu showcases fresh, locally-sourced ingredients all cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. With its stunning coastal location and outstanding food, The White Horse is a must-visit destination. We can't wait to return!

We came for Sunday lunch and had the most delicious roast beef with fantastic vegetables. The best roast I've had in a long time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. We really could not fault a thing. Spacious room. Comfy bed. Lovely bathroom. Super evening meal and great breakfast. Great service from all staff. Not the cheapest however we took advantage of a special offer.

Another amazing lunch visit, the menu offering ticked all the boxes and my Scallops, Coley & Pear Mille-feuille didn’t disappoint. It was refreshing to also see and experience wonderful friendly service from the Front of House team. Congratulations to Rob, Fran & Team on the recent awards - truly deserved!

We had a fantastic New Year's Eve at the White Horse. Hats off to everyone. It was absolutely brilliant. The food was amazing and the glass of bubbles you got on arrival went down very well. There were enough seats for everyone and the decorations were fabulous. Thank you to Rob and his team who did an amazing job. Happy New Year

Totally burnt fish like Charcoal, with the smallest portion of risotto i think i have ever been served. Can't understand why at the prices charged the cheapest ingredients couldn't be more, it's was like they had run out of ingredients. My wife's monkfish was also overcooked. Obviously we picked the night the chef had left early.

Amazing lunch with a salt marsh view! We had a delicious lunch Xmas eve lunch there. Scallops and clam chowder starter and mussels for main. Everything was super fresh and delicious and reasonably priced! Highly recommended!

Amazing location, although the metal part of the bannister above the glass almost perfectly blocks the view of the horizon. Good service, but think we may have been given tap water instead of still as it was warm although we weren’t charged for it. The restaurant was cold (given it was winter) but the radiators were not on. The way the bread was served was unusual as it was served whole, and since it was a very crusty roll it took some cutting. It was on a chopping board with no bevel or rim, so crumbs inevitably covered the table. The food was tasty, but quite small portions, especially the pasta. Desserts were nice.

Outstanding lunch with very friendly and efficient service. Every course was delicious with the highlights being the ribs on a rarebit crumpet, stone bass and chorizo and spiced pumpkin cake. It's not a cheap eat but for the food, service and view it's more than worth it. One of our all time favourite places to eat. Highly recommended and well worth a visit. Make sure you take in a walk before or after to admire the stunning coastline. The restaurant gets very busy during peak season / times so definitely book online in advance to avoid disappointment.

Absolutely fabulous Christmas party night, all the staff went above and beyond and the meal was delicious. I had a garden room which was lovely, even though it was in the middle of a big storm it didn't keep me awake but as I'm disabled I needed assistance getting to and from the room and the staff braved the weather to help me. Couldn't ask for more.

Absolutely amazing stay at The White Horse Brancaster , special thank you to Dean the restaurant manager for making our stay extra special from the moment we set foot in the building and all the staff were so welcoming! Our room was very luxurious and, drinks at the bar were lovely very nice atmosphere and dinner in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and our young waiter couldn’t have been any nicer ! We can’t wait to come back in the summer 😊

For our first wedding anniversary, the White Horse was the perfect place. A warm welcome and little touches to make our dining experience great, such as the happy anniversary card on our table. Wonderful food followed.

We had the most amazing meal, for our 20th wedding anniversary!! Staff were amazing, food out of this world, would highly recommend, will definitely be going back!!!! 11 out of 10!!!!!! We even had a plate saying happy anniversary, with luxury deserts as an additional extra, what more can I say!!!!!

After the white horse being recommended to us we decided to try it. Very disappointed with the food. We ordered fish & chips, being a posh pub by the sea we thought it would be lovely, how very wrong. There was very little fish underneath a huge layer of batter & the chips (cheep ones out of a freezer, confirmed by the waiter) were so overcooked, crispy & dry were inedible. Very disappointed. Lovely pub, lovely wine. Very slow service. Not very busy but still took an hour to get our food. Sat by the conservatory window with my coat on as it was very drafty

Service is was great the food was poor quality for the price. The haddock was to small for the price your paying. Your coleslaw that came with my dry burger tasted off and not fresh. The other person dining with me had the peik which was pink and the potatoes were hard and not fresh. The risotto didn’t taste up to standards for the price.

Was very fortunate to be treated to a birthday meal here - what a fabulous place. Service is top notch and very friendly and welcoming. We were dining with our dogs so seated in the bar area and cannot comment on the restaurant or the rooms but we would definitely consider staying here in future. There's a real focus on local produce and of course the sea. The food did not disappoint. The Staithe smokehouse salmon was superb. Both my husband and I's mains were delicious. I also had the best lemon tart (outside of my kitchen 😆) I've ever eaten plus the team gave me an extra birthday treat too ❤️ we can't wait to return

Outstanding restaurant with stunning views. The menu is one of those where you can't go wrong as every dish is just exquisite, and the showcase option in my view is the seafood platter to share. Great selection of quality beers is backed up by outstanding service also. Easy parking on site and there are also some superb walks nearby with great views. This is a superb restaurant and for seafood fans it's a must visit. Highly recommended.

Loved it. Have previously stayed here in beautiful room overlooking the marshes and more recently attended their mussel festival. All beautiful food, well organised, friendly service.
